Biography
Andrea Vergnano is a pianist and composer.
He started playing the piano at the age of 5. He studied with the pianist and composer Luciana Bigazzi. She conveyed her awareness of how important it is for a musician to write new music.
In 2008 he received the First Prize at the 1st National Maritime Alps Competition in Busca (Cuneo). In the following years, he devoted himself mainly to composition, for which nature is the central element of inspiration.
He has performed in artistic events and participated in musical projects organized at the Cottolengo Hospital in Turin.
In 2018 he obtained a master's degree in Environmental and Land Engineering, specializing in Environmental Protection. Since 2019 he has been a Ph.D. student in Geophysics and Glaciology at the Polytechnic University of Turin.
His recording project "Waterfall for Piano" is forthcoming. He premiered some compositions at the Salone del Libro di Torino, in May 2022.
His first single, Dolphins, was released in November 2022, produced by New Classic Music and managed by Machiavelli Music.
